To solve a problem that an error message is a uniquely determined message and is not a message considering the whole processes of a network system.
In a process management system constituted of connecting a plurality of devices to a process management server for managing operation processes for these devices through a network, an input of a job is received, operation schedules of respective devices required for the inputted job are prepared and the job is executed by respective devices on the basis of the operation schedules. If an error is generated in a certain device during the execution of the job, operation contents allowed to be executed on the basis of the operation schedule out of previously stored operation contents for the error are extracted, the operation contents are presented and selected and the operation schedules are updated in accordance with the operation contents selected by an operator in charge in accordance with the presentation.
