Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the composite material based on boron nitride, the shaped article made of the composite material based on the boron nitride, and the simple and/or inexpensive process that produces the shaped article containing the boron nitride.

CONSTITUTION: The shaped article is produced by the process for the production of the shaped article containing boron nitride from substances which are suitable for the slip casting by means of slip casting, reaction-sintering and post- calcining, and the shaped article is produced from especially suitable ceramic composite materials consisting of 5-60 vol.% of boron nitride, 40-95 vol.% of Si6-xAlxOxN8-x (0<X≤4) or 40-95 vol.% of Si2N2O. One or pluralities of substances selected from silicon, SiB4, SiB6, AlB2, AlB12, CaB6 and/or silicate or aluminum groups are used for starting powders.
