PURPOSE: To easily perform plural processes in a short time and to prevent illegal use such as reuse by adding a temporary standby function for a card, etc., and writing used state information before the card reaches the standby part.
CONSTITUTION: A linear conveyance line is set in a housing 103 and the card, etc., is moved reciprocally by a conveyance means along the conveyance line; and an entrance exit 101 for the card, etc., a hopper stacker 102, a switching flapper 142 which switches the conveyance direction of the card, etc., to the entrance exit 101 or hopper stacker 102, recording and reproducing devices 115 and 116 for the card, etc., a standby part 117 for the card, etc., and an optical sensor 150 are provided in order from one end side of the conveyance line. While the card, etc., is conveyed to the standby part 117, the used state information is written and while the card is on standby at the part, other operations are performed. Consequently, plural operations can be processed without considering the sequences, the operations are facilitated, and the processing is speeded up; and illegal use such as reuse can be prevented.
