Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a production process for alkadienols industrially advantageously in a high yield with high selectivity.
CONSTITUTION: A palladium compound and a phosphine compound are used as catalysts to effect the reaction of an alkadiene with water in the presence of carbon dioxide to produce an alkadienol, where the reaction is carried out, as the phosphine compound remains free in the reaction mixture.
