Title:
PRODUCTION OF AMYLASE INHIBITOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3499260
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To efficiently and economically obtain an amylase inhibitor useful as a suppressor, etc., for the blood sugar level effectively used by oral administration by removing impurities from wheat gluten, a starch waste, etc., then forming a calcium phosphate gel and separating the gel by adsorption.
CONSTITUTION: This method for producing an amylase inhibitor is to treat a liquid containing the amylase inhibitor obtained by extracting wheat (gluten) or what flour with water, a dilute acid, a dilute alkali, etc., or a waste liquor, containing the amylase inhibitor and discharged in collecting starch and gluten from the wheat flour, separate and remove impurity proteins and other impurities in the liquid as an insoluble solid substance, form an insoluble calcium phosphate gel in the resultant liquid, make the amylase inhibitor adsorbed thereon, separate and recover the insoluble calcium phosphate gel adsorbing the amylase inhibitor thereon from the liquid, solubilize the amylase inhibitor from the separated and recovered calcium phosphate gel in water, afford a solution containing the amylase inhibitor and obtain the amylase inhibitor from the resultant solution.
