Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for efficiently producing the carboxyl group- containing conjugated dienic polymer under a high temperature which is advantageous when the production of the carboxyl group-containing conjugated dienic copolymer is industrially performed.
CONSTITUTION: The method for producing the carboxyl group-containing conjugated dienic polymer comprise polymerizing a conjugated dienic monomer in the presence of an organic lithium compound in a specific solvent (an aliphatic or alicyclic hydrocarbon) and subsequently reacting the produced living polymer with carbon dioxide in the presence of a specific Lewis base (a tertiary amine, a tertiary diamine or a linear or cyclic ether having two or more oxygen atoms in the molecule).
