Abstract:
To provide an incombustible lubricant, good in water dispersion stability and lubricity and hardly causing environmental pollution and also provide a pressure transmission medium.
The dehydrating condensation of an 18-20C monohydroxy fatty acid or its polycondensate with a trihydroxyalkylamine or an N-substituted dihydroxyalkylamine is carried out to provide a triol or a diol, which is then reacted with a dicarboxylic acid anhydride or a dicarboxylic acid to produce a dicarboxylic acid compound.
