Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a production method capable of working a prescribed shaped catalytic member with an excellent productivity.
CONSTITUTION: In this method, the catalytic member is produced by impregnating with a catalyst slurry solution 2, drying and burning after at least an inorganic ceramic fiber after an organic binder are kneaded, extruded and dried, and when a molding 1 obtained by extruding is impregnated with the catalyst slurry solution 2, dried and burned, the shape of the molding 1 is kept by cohesive force of the catalyst powder (bonding strength) contained in the catalyst slurry solution 2 though the organic binder is burnt down by burring and the catalytic member excellent in porosity is mass-produced by using the inorganic ceramic fiber.
