Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a method for producing extra heavy oil emulsion fuel, capable of surely and readily producing readily handleable extra heavy oil emulsion having high extra heavy oil concentration, fluidity and good long-term storage stability.
SOLUTION: In this producing method of extra heavy oil emulsion fuel comprising a first step for preparing oil-in water type emulsion fuel by stirring a mixed solution comprising extra heavy oil, water and a nonionic surfactant at a high shear rate and a second step for preparing oil-in water type emulsion fuel by adding and mixing an ionic dispersant with the emulsion fuel obtained in the first step and further stirring the mixture, the first step is carried out at 75-200°C and the second step is carried out at 15-40°C (excluding 25°C).
