PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing an inorganic plate, capable of readily providing bright uneven pattern by molding a substrate under pressure using an uneven mold.

CONSTITUTION: This method for producing an inorganic plate comprises using a base material made from slurry consisting of a hydraulic cement and water as a substrate, molding this substrate under pressure using an uneven mold and curing the molding. In the method, the slurry is blended with sepiolite and the sepiolite contains ≥80wt.% of a sepiolite having ≤2mm fiber length and an amount of the sepiolite blended with the slurry is 0.5wt.% to 5.0wt.% based on total amount of solid content of the slurry.
