Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of a blob-like projection by specifying the V angle of the V-shaped butt parts of an open pipe formed of both ends of a band steel bent and formed to an open pipe form and a point where these ends and a pass line intersect to a specific value. SOLUTION: The band steel is formed to the open pipe form by side rolls 7 and top pressure rolls 8. The position of the butt parts of the open pipe corresponding to the axial center position of the top pressure rolls 8 is determined at a vertex 5 of the V angle θ. The angle formed by the vertex 5 of the V angle θ and the two points at both ends of the band steel in a position of 500 m upstream is determined as the V angle θ. txV Angle θ( deg.)<80 is satisfied. t Is a thickness (m) of the band steel. The adjustment of the V angle θ is executed by changing the diameter of the groove bottoms of the calibers of the side rolls 7 in the case of a 2-roll type of the side rolls 7 alone. The indentation of the top pressure rolls 8 is adjusted in the case of the device having the top pressure rolls 8.
