Abstract:
PURPOSE: A thermoplastic polymer containing fine particles of silica and/or zeolite of specific particle sizes is subjected to melt spinning to produce a yarn with good properties and high cross section modification in high operability and low consts.
CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic polymer such as nylon 6 containing 1W10wt% fine particles of silica and/or zeolite with particle sizes of 0.5W10, preferably 1W5μ is subjected to melt spinning through a spinneret for modified cross section yarns to produce a modified cross section yarn, e.g., of trilobal cross section.
