Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a production method for plastic substrate for liquid crystal display element, which hardly adversely affects the optical property of a plastic base material sheet, is capable of preventing the occurrence of loss of the plastic base material sheet in production process and without restriction in production even at the time of using a base material sheet composed of a plastic poor in solvent resistance.
CONSTITUTION: The plastic substrate 7 for liquid crystal display element. which has a gas barrier layer 3 and a hard coat layer 2 successively laminated on the base material 4, is obtained by forming the hard coat layer 2 and the gas carrier layer 3 on a heat resistant supporting body having high surface smoothness in this order to make a laminated body 5 for transfer, preparing the base material 4 composed of a polymer material on the other hand, sticking the base material 4 to the laminated body 5 for transfer so that the gas barrier layer 3 of the laminated body 5 for transfer faces one surface of the base material 4 and after that, stripping and removing the heat resistant supporting body 1 constituting the laminated body 5 for transfer.
