Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a polyarylene sulfide resin composition reduced in the formation of gases during molding, reduced in coloration and excellent in mechanical strengths such as weld strength by melt-kneading a specified polyarylene sulfide resin and a filler in a specified ratio by means of a kneader.

CONSTITUTION: The composition is produced by melt-kneading 100 pts.wt. polyarylene sulfide resin which is a polymer having a water content of 0.3-3wt.% and comprising desirably at least 70mol% more desirably at least 90mol% repeating units of the formula and 2-300 pts.wt. filler (e.g. glass fiber) by means of a kneader.
