Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a stable and uniform polytriphenylamine film having electrochromic property and large area, easily, by forming a film composed of triphenylamine and its derivative monomer on an electrically conductive film, and carrying out the reactive polymerization of the monomer with an oxidizing agent.
CONSTITUTION: One or more monomers selected from triphenylamine and its derivative are dissolved in an organic solvent (e.g. chloroform), and applied to an electrically conductive film of a substrate to form a monomer film. The film is made to contact with an oxidizing agent (e.g. iodine) to effect the reactive polymerization to obtain the objective polytriphenylamine film.
