Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain granules, remarkably improved in solubility in solvents and excellent in operating efficiency with reduced cost and danger in transportation by leading an aqueous solution of a thermoplastic urethane resin into water, then drying and crushing the resultant resin. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic urethane resin solution derived from a polyol, a polyisocyanate, a chain extender and a water-soluble solvent is led into water, dried and subsequently crushed or pulverized. The above-mentioned urethane resin is regulated so as to provide 1:(0.9-1.1) ratio of (NCO equiv.):(OH equiv. + active hydrogen equiv. of the chain extender). After leading the aqueous solution into the water, drying is carried out at >=150 deg.C.
