Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten the exchange time of input/output signals between a main body unit and an input/output unit.
CONSTITUTION: A dual port memory 6 which can be accessed in both directions is used as a memory for data exchange. The dual port memory 6 is divided into plural bank areas, and banks which is accessed by the main body unit (CPU unit 1) and the input/output unit (remote i/o unit 3) are set in a certain order by the upper address to the dual port memory 6 of a bank switching register 5.
