Title:
PULSE GENERATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2654285
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To attain discharging in a short time automatically and to improve the safety by applying an internal trigger signal to a high voltage discharge means with a control signal while the production of a high voltage is stopped so as to discharge a remaining voltage.
CONSTITUTION: When an external trigger signal is fed to a trigger circuit 57 via a changeover switch 2, a switching element is switched. As a result, a voltage charged in a pulse generating circuit (PFN) 54 repeats charging/ discharging synchronously with the external trigger signal and a high voltage is applied to a load 55. When the application of the external trigger signal is stopped, a high DC voltage remains in the PFN 54, but when a high voltage OFF command signal is fed to a control circuit 1, an electromagnetic contactor 58 is deenergized and the changeover switch 2 is thrown to the position of the internal trigger. The remaining voltage charged in the PFN 54 is discharged through a switching element 56 by the internal trigger signal and the voltage charged in the PFN 54 is discharged in a short time and the voltage across the PFN 54 is made zero.
