To provide a purchased amount display system enabling a customer to confirm a purchased amount as needed through an easy operation with shopping in a supermarket or the like.
This system comprises a purchased amount display device 1 reading information stored in wireless tags stuck to commodity packages and displaying a total purchased amount; and a commodity price management device 2 connected to a store controller 3 to retrieve and transmit a commodity price from wireless tag information transmitted from the purchased amount display device 1, so that transmitting and receiving of data are performed by radio communications. Since the purchased amount is automatically calculated and displayed by transmission and receiving of wireless tag information of commodities, the calculation can be performed with the same price as a POS registered price while automatically responding to price change by the connection with the store controller 3. Accordingly, the labor therefor can be dispensed with, and price troubles can be eliminated to enhance the convenience for customers.
