PURPOSE: To produce a lightweight quilt (in Japanese life, name KAKEBUTON) which may be skillfully unfolded to be used and may be tidily, quickly, and easily folded to be stored, by equipping the KAKEBUTON with an air cushion around the periphery thereof.
CONSTITUTION: An air cushion 6 is arranged around the periphery of a KAKEBUTON. The air cushion 6 has seven partitions. Four partitions are located at opposite side sections 4, two are at corners 1, and one is at the mid-point 2 between the corners 1. The air cushion 6 is oval in cross section so as not to be easily bent in a lateral direction. All sections of the air cushion 6 are connected together, so that the air pressure is uniform, and the air pressure may be adjusted at the point 3. The KAKEBUTON may be bent at the partitions of the opposite side sections 4 for folding, drying, or the like.
