Abstract:

To provide a rack pinion type steering device and a rotary tool for bearing pressers, in which complexity of quality control and number management are reduced by reducing components, and an assembly line is made short by reducing assembly man-hour.

Bearings 22 and 23 for pivotally supporting a pinion shaft 24 are arranged between the shaft insertion hole 21 of a gear housing 20 and a pinion shaft 24 so that the pinion shaft can be rotated. A screw section 21a is formed at the opening side of the shaft insertion hole 21, and a bearing presser 26 screwed to the screw section 21a is brought into contact with the bearing 22, in the rack pinion type steering device. The bearing presser 26 includes a body 50 which is screwed to the screw section 21a and which is brought into contact with the bearing 22; and an inner circumferential side seal section 51 which is adhered by vulcanization to the inner circumferential side of the body 50, to seal the pinion shaft 24 side.
