Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a drive belt from being easily removed from wheels while in use by coupling the drive belt with the teeth of a rear wheel, and bringing the drive belt into friction contact with a front wheel.
CONSTITUTION: When a drive belt 7 is coupled with a drive wheel 6, a train 64 of long teeth at the center section is held on a circular groove 52 at the center section to keep the coupling between the belt 7 and the wheel 6. Teeth 54 and recesses 56 are coupled with a train 62 of short teeth at the side section to transmit the driving force of a motor from the wheel 6 to the belt 7. A radial shoulder section 74 constituting the center groove of a front wheel 8 is extended to the outside over a smooth face 72 to constitute a pair of radially protruded rims 76. When the drive belt 7 is coupled with the front drive wheel 8, the train 64 of long teeth at the center section is held in a center recess 68, and the train 62 of short teeth at the side section is brought into friction contact with the smooth face 72. The drive belt 7 is hardly removed from the wheels 6, 8 even when a vehicle is roughly handled.
