Title:
SCROLL COMPRESSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3212399
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten the passage of a coolant path exposed to the outside of a shaft so as to prevent coolant gas from being heated by heat of a bearing by disposing a fourth passage, with one end thereof confronting with a first passage to be communicated with the second passage and the other end opened to one end of the shaft.
CONSTITUTION: When a shaft 30 is rotated by the drive of a motor 50, a movable scroll 20 is revolved while being checked from rotating on its own axis by a rotation checking mechanism 40. Whereupon, the capacity of a pressurization chamber 21 formed between the engaged spiral bodies 20b, 10b of both movable and fixed scrolls 20, 10 is decreased. Accordingly, coolant gas flows from an inlet port 4a of a rear housing 4 into a first passage 30a of the shaft 30. Some of coolant gas flows from a second passage 30b through a communicating hole 3b of a center housing 3 into an intake chamber 12. The remaining parat of the coolant gas is discharged outward in the axial direction of the shaft 30 from a fourth passage 30d. Further, some of the coolant gas flows through a thord passage 30C to lubricate a needle bearing 35.
