To provide a radio device capable of easily determining whether radio communication is possible or not if another radio device interferes with the radio device.
Each of radio devices 2, 4 periodically transmits a pilot signal on a pilot channel. A radio device 5 transmits a pilot signal to a radio device 3 on a pilot channel when starting radio communication with the radio device 3. The radio device 3 measures interference power Ij on a data channel and a signal-to-noise and interference ratio SINRP obtained when the pilot signal from the radio device 5 is received on the pilot channel. The radio device 3 transmits the interference power Ij and the signal-to-noise and interference ratio SINRP to the radio device 5. The radio device 5 holds a target signal-to-noise and interference ratio SINRT on a data channel. The radio device 5 calculates transmission power σj=SINRT×Ij and an evaluation value SINRT/SINRP. If it is determined that the evaluation value SINRT/SINRP is equal to or less than a constant value c, the radio device 5 transmits a packet including ordinary data to the radio device 3 at the transmission power σj.
