Abstract:
PURPOSE:To greatly suppress voltage variation due to reactive power variation, generated depending upon a varying load such as an arc furnace a rolling will, etc., by employing an optimum control system which uses a state space model and a conventional predictive control in combination. CONSTITUTION:An optimum gain computing element 34 operates voltages which is applied directly and through a visibility coefficient filter 32 and the reactive power detected value of a predictive detection part 36, where said voltages and a current at a power feed point and a current to the arc furnace 28, which are detected by current transformers 37 and 40 for an instrument, are inputted, by the optimum control system which uses a two-dimensional evaluation function/to find the correction reactive power command value of correction control, and applies it to a predictive control part 42 so that it is added to the reactive power command value found by the predictive control part 42 according to the output of the predictive detection part 36. The thyristor ignition angle of a TCR is controlled with the output of the predictive control part 42 through a pulse generator 44.
