Abstract:

To provide a reciprocating and reversing positioning method for a table, which allows the reciprocating and reversing of the table when grinding a workpiece by an input from an operation panel.

A pair of light transmission type photoelectric sensors are fixed to the front of a bed having a table guide surface of a machine tool. Two comb tooth scales are fixed to the front of the table. Table left line reversing position (n1) and table right line reversing position (n1) are determined according to the length of table stroke. The count number of positions of the light transmission type photoelectric sensors is input from the operation panel to a memory part of a control device. The reciprocating and reversing positioning of the table of the machine tool is performed.
