Abstract:
To provide a recorder capable of printing with high image quality.
In the recorder, a cap member 80 is arranged at a position facing the nozzle face 40A of a unit recording head 40 and communicated with an air pump 156. A sheet is carried between the unit recording head 40 and the cap member 80 and printed. The air pump 156 is driven constantly to suck and collect ink mist generated by dummy jet or ejection of printing ink drops from the cap member 80. Consequently, lowering of ink drop ejection performance due to adhesion of ink mist to the nozzle face 40A or lowering of print image quality due to adhesion of ink mist to the sheet can be avoided resulting in printing with high image quality.
