PURPOSE: To record a high image quality recording without unevenness, etc., in a recording density irrespective of a type of a support by providing destaticizing means for destaticizing charged charge of a support in a recorder having opposite electrodes opposed through electric field control means and the support.

CONSTITUTION: A destaticizing brush 8 as destaticizing means is so provided longitudinally as to be brought into contact with substantially an entire surface of a recording surface of a support P by conveying the support P, and connected to a ground. A heat roller 24 and a press roller 25 are arranged at an advancing destination of the support P. Thus, since charged charge of the support P is previously destaticized by the brush 8, toner passed from an aperture is flown up to the support only by an electric field to be formed by a voltage to be applied by opposed electrode rollers. Accordingly, there is eliminated a decrease in a recording quality due to a decrease in recording density, adherence of toner to a white area or fog of record by an extreme decrease in toner adherence amount due to charging of the support when an insulation sheet has been heretofore used as the support.
