Abstract:
To provide a redox flow battery system capable of efficiently heating an electrolyte solution and supplying a battery cell with the electrolyte solution which has reached a predetermined temperature.SOLUTION: A redox flow battery system comprises: a tank for pooling an electrolyte solution; a battery cell; and a circulation mechanism for circulating the electrolyte solution between the tank and the battery cell. The circulation mechanism has: an outward route for supplying the electrolyte solution in the tank to the battery cell; a return route for discharging the electrolyte solution from the battery cell to the tank; and a pump for pneumatically feeding the electrolyte solution in the tank. The circulation mechanism includes: a bypass route for connecting the outward route and the return route, or the outward route and the tank to bypass the battery cell; and a switching structure for switching between the circulation of the electrolyte solution to the battery cell and the circulation to the bypass route.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
