Title:
REDUCTION OF FURFURAL CONTENT IN CELLULOSE FIBERS CROSSLINKED BY POLYACRYLIC ACID
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2022058649
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide cellulose fibers that exhibit bulkiness, increased white degree and whiteness and reduced malodor, and that are crosslinked by a polyacrylic acid.SOLUTION: There is provided a product containing cellulose-based fibers crosslinked with polyacrylic acid, in which the cellulose fibers cross-linked with polyacrylic acid are treated with hydrogen peroxide in an amount of about 0.045 to about 9.07 kg per 1 ADMT of fibers before blending into the product in an absence of sodium hydroxide, and a furfural amount in the treated polyacrylic acid crosslinked fiber is reduced from a first value measured a day after the treatment of the polyacrylic acid crosslinked fiber to a second successor value measured up to 21 days after the treatment.SELECTED DRAWING: None
