Abstract:
PURPOSE: To achieve steady fixing by making the distribution of fixing energy produced by three or more flash lamps uniform in a printer having a flash fixing-unit.
CONSTITUTION: A printer for making a print on a sheet is equipped with a means for forming a toner image on the sheet, the three or more flash lamps 1-1 to 1-3 for fixing the toner image to the sheet, and energy sources 3-1 to 3-3 and 4-1 to 1-3 for increasing the input energy of the flash lamps 1-2 and 1-3 on both sides in relation to the input energy of the middle flash lamp 1-1. The printer is further equipped with the flash fixing-unit for fixing the toner image to the sheet, which has four or more flash lamps in which the lamp pitches of the flash lamps on both sides are set small in relation to the lamp pitch of the middle flash lamp.
