PURPOSE: To obtain the reflected image of an original picture used for hectographing with simple constitution by relatively moving a detecting method for original picture intensity and a recording method by rotating a drum supporting the original picture and a drum supporting recording paper in the same direction.
CONSTITUTION: Original 2 is wound around the external circumference of original picture drum 1 detachably and hectograph master 5 is also wound around the external circumference of master drum 4 of the same diameter with drum 1; both drums are driven by motor 7 to rotate in one body. Next, as photoelectric detector 15 and recording head 16 are moved in the axial direction of the drums to the left and right, photoelectric detector 15 scans original 2 to output signal (a) that corresponds to the thickness of the picture and then high-voltage switching circuit 18 is operated via amplifying circuit 17 according to the thickness. Consequently, a high voltage from a high-voltage source is applied between the nozzle of recording head 16 and the opposite electrode to jet ink, which sticks to master 5 on drum 4, so that the reflected image of original 2 will be formed.
