Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflector which increases the light distributed in desired directions and has a high use efficiency of light and to provide a method for manufacturing the reflector.
SOLUTION: In the reflector surface 21, a plurality of fine first basic forms 26 which are concave or convex and almost similar to one another are randomly arranged without overlapping and in the part where the first basic forms 26 are not arranged, a plurality of fine second basic forms 30 which are concave or convex, are tightly arranged. In the overlapped part of the first and second forms, the first basic form is preferentially formed. Thereby, a reflecting surface having no flat part while keeping the distributing performance for light of the first basic forms 26 can be formed and the use efficiency of light can be improved. The reflecting surface 21 can be mass-produced by preparing a gray mask from the spatial distribution data processed by the above method and by using photolithographic techniques.
