Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator in which floating germs can be sterilized efficiently.
SOLUTION: Chill is taken into an ion generating chamber 45 provided on the back of a refrigerating chamber 2 from a chill return opening 10. Missing of ions due to collision against a wall face is reduced by discharging positive ions and negative ions of corona discharge, generated by applying a voltage to a needle-like electrode 11a disposed at an upper part in the ion generating chamber 45, substantially in parallel with chill flowing in the direction of arrow B2 and sterilization power is enhanced because the ions spread over a wide range and the contact period of chill and ions is prolonged.
