Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the size of a device and to simplify constitution of the device by a method wherein the binary display storage address of an identification code read by a magnetic card reader is converted into a decimal number and the digit content of n-digit binary number is displayed by the number of intermittent display times of an LED display unit.
CONSTITUTION: After the operation mode set device of an electric lock is switched to an identification code research mode, an identification code recorded in a magnetic card is read by a magnetic card reader 1. A storage address in a memory 3 for an identification code is fetched by an identification code storage address retrieving means 2 to feed it to a decoder 4. The decoder 4 converts a storage address displayed by a binary number into an n-digit decimal number and the digit content of each of digits 0-9 is temporarily accumulated in a register. By utilizing a display means 5, such as a red and a green LED, to display the unlocked state of the electric lock, the numeral value of each digit of the storage address is displayed by means of the number of times of LED blinking. Since a specified display unit is not used, this constitution simplifies constitution of a device and forms the device in a compact state, and also reduces cost.
