Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relative angle detection device that is suitable for enlarging a torque detection range, and to provide a torque sensor, electrically-driven power steering device and vehicle that include the relative angle detection device.SOLUTION: On the basis of a first sign expressing sin(θ+Δθ) corresponding to a rotation angle θof a first multi-polar magnet 10 rotating in synchronization with an input axis 22a of the input axis 22a and an output axis 22b coaxially arranged, and a first cosine signal expressing cos(θ+Δθ), and a second sign expressing sinθcorresponding to a rotation angle θof a second multi-polar magnet 11 rotating in synchronization with the output axis 22b, and a second cosine signal expressing cosθ, sinΔθ and cosΔθ are computed that correspond to a relative angle Δθ between the input axis 22a and output axis 22b, and the relative angle Δθ is computed from Δθ=arctan(sinΔθ/cosΔθ).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
