Abstract:
To increase a cache hit rate of a segment of a content to be distributed.SOLUTION: A reverse proxy 1 according to the present invention includes: a data sending/receiving unit 12 for sending, to Web servers 3a to 3g, second request information obtained using first request information received from clients 2a to 2n to request a first segment of a content, the second request information being information used to demand the first segment with a first coding rate, and sending, to the Web servers 3a to 3g, third request information used to request a second segment subsequent to the first segment in the content, the second segment having a second coding rate different from the first coding rate, and sending the first segment received from the Web servers 3a to 3g to the clients 2a to 2n; and a controller 11 for storing the second segment received from the Web servers 3a to 3g in a storage unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
