PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for any operator for a remote node and to activate a network as required by providing a power supply controller to the outside of each remote node, and controlling automatically startup or shut-down of the remote node from a centralized control node via a communication line.
CONSTITUTION: When a signal CDon transmitted from the centralized control node 1 via a communication line 2 is detected by the power supply controller 5, the mode is transited to a specific pattern signal reception standby mode. When a startup signal of a specific pattern signal is received from the centralized control node 1 by the controller 5, a PWRon signal is transmitted from the controller 5 to a power device 6, and when the power supply of a power supply device is turned "ON", the remote node automatic IPL(Initial Program Loading) is executed for the remote node 3. When the power supply controller 5 receives a shut-down signal of the specific pattern signal transmitted via the communication line 2 from the centralized control node 1, the controller 5 awaits a CDoff signal, and when the CDoff signal is detected, the controller 5 generates a power trouble interrupting signal to the remote node 3, a PWRoff signal is transmitted from the controller 5 to turn "OFF" the power supply of the power device 6.
