Title:
RESIN-COATED METALLIC SHEET AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3175531
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To continuously conduct chromating and formation of a resin-coating film at the time of applying a water-dispersible resin soln. on the chromate coating film of a metallic sheet and baking the soln. to form the resin-coating film by adding a basic compd. to the soln. and adjusting the pH.
CONSTITUTION: An uncoiled metallic sheet is dip-coated with a coating-type chromating soln. in a chromating tank and dried with a drier. A water- dispersible resin soln. is applied on both sides of the sheet after leaving from the drier and then immediately baked in an oven to form a resin-coating film, and a resin-coated metallic sheet is obtained. At this time, the resin soln. is controlled to ≥pH9 by adding a basic compd. Consequently, since the dispersion stability of the soln. is maintained even if the chromate component is mixed in the soln., the chromate film need not be completely dried, and the resin- coating film is continuously formed in the same line in succession to the chromating stage.
