To obtain the subject resin composition comprising a polymer made from vinyl acetate and a (meth)acrylic ester in specified proportions, slight in residual ash after burnt, high in toughness with its breaking strength and elongation compatible with each other, and good in resolubility of the cut scraps thereof.

This resin composition comprises a polymer made from 5-50 pts.wt. of vinyl acetate and 95-90 pts.wt. of a (meth)acrylic ester, wherein it is preferable that the vinyl acetate is in the form of monomer or a combination of monomer and polymer, and at least 5 pts.wt. of the monomer is copolymerized with 95-90 pts.wt. of the (meth)acrylic ester monomer. The composition has a weight-average molecular weight of pref. 50,000-600,000, and may be incorporated, as necessary, with plasticizer, solvent, tackifier, defoaming agent, sintering auxiliary, leveling agent, and the like.
