Abstract:
To provide a composition excellent in toughness while maintaining heat resistance of an epoxy-silica hybrid substance.
The resin composition comprises an epoxy resin, a silane condensation product, a toughness-imparting agent and a curing agent. A resin obtained by carrying out hydrolytic condensation of an alkoxysilane is preferably used as the silane condensation product. One kind of material selected from a rubber, a thermoplastic resin and an engineering plastic, particularly a butadiene-acrylonitrile rubber is preferably used as the toughness-imparting agent. The composition is cured to provide a resin excellent in heat resistance and toughness of cured product.
