Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of a drum type clothing dryer to detect the revolution number of the drum to feed back the detected output to a motor to control the number of revolution, by equipping a detecting element and a magnet at a prescribed distance and a magnetism shield plate on the drum so as to pass between the detecting element and the magnet during rotating. SOLUTION: During drying operation, a drum 7 is rotated by a motor and high temperature drying air heated by a heater is guided into the drum 7 to promote vaporization of moisture contained in clothing to dry the clothing. A magnetism shield plate 32 is equipped on the outer periphery face of the drum 7 to detect passing of the magnetism shield plate 32 by a detecting element 30 from shielding the magnetism around the detecting element 30 when the rotating magnetism shield plate 32 passed through between the detecting element 30 and a magnet 31. A detected output value of the detecting element 30 is compared with a prescribed value obtained from the prescribed number of rotation to raise the number of revolution of the motor 18 when the detected output value is slower than the prescribed one, and lowered when faster to keep the number of revolution constant.
