The device includes: a command reception unit 151 that acquires a command for expediting the robot device 100 to establish joint attention on the target O from the user 10; a position/posture estimation unit 159 that estimates a position and posture of a pointer 200 which is operated by the user to indicate the target by the irradiation of a beam L according to the acquisition of the command; and a target specifying unit 160 that specifies a direction of the target indicated by the irradiation of the beam based on an estimation result of the position and posture and specifies the target on an environment map EM representing a surrounding environment based on a specified result of the direction.
