PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-efficiency rotary electric machine which suppresses increase in an iron loss of a stator core caused by a stress and improves reliability, and a manufacturing method of the rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine 1 includes: a motor unit including a stator core 20 and a rotor which is pivoted in a freely rotatable manner; and a motor housing 5A including an accommodation part 51 to which the stator core 20 is fitted and in which the motor unit can be accommodated. The accommodation part 51 of the motor housing 5A is formed by arranging a first wall 55 and a second wall 56 that is thicker than the first wall 55, in a circumferential direction of the motor unit. On an outer peripheral surface 22 of the stator core 20, expanded portions 28 expanded to the outside in a radial direction and recessed portions 29 recessed to the inside in the radial direction are alternately provided in a circumferential direction. The stator core 20 is fitted to the motor housing 5A in the state where the expanded portions 28 are adhered with the first wall 55 and the recessed portions 29 are adhered with the second wall 56.
