Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition useful for producing driving belts excellent in flexural fatigue resistance and having high strength and high elasticity by mixing a rubber forming a continuous phase, specified nylon fibers, and short fibers each in a specified amount. CONSTITUTION:The title composition contains 100 pts.wt. rubber forming a continuous phase (e.g. a hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber), 1-15 pts.wt. (in terms of fibers) nylon fibers of a minute diameter, grafted with the molecules of a rubber co-cross-linkable with the rubber (e.g. an acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber), and 1-30 pts.wt. short fibers (e.g. short nylon 66 fibers).
