Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a tread rubber compsn. with a low rolling resistance and good wet grip properties.

CONSTITUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. rubber component comprising 5-80wt.% soln.-polymerized conjugated diene-arom. vinyl compd. copolymer, 10-85wt.% emulsion-polymerized conjugated diene-arom. vinyl compd. copolymer, 0-40wt.% polyisoprene, and 10-50wt.% polybutadiene with 25-90 pts.wt. silica and 5-90 pts.wt. carbon black.
