Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate assembling a safe support ring for a drop center type tire by disposing a support arm displaceable radially inward and lockable at the displaced position circumferentially of the support ring having the inner ring larger than the diameter of a rim flange. CONSTITUTION:When a safe support ring 3 is inserted in the inside of a tire 2, a support arm 5 is pivoted from the inner diameter of a support ring 4 to the inside. Next, an opening of a bead portion of the tire 2 is deformed into an elliptical form to insert the support ring 3. Then, after the support ring 3 is attached to a tire rim 1, the support arm 5 is pivoted radially inward to abut against a well 1W. Thereafter air is forced into the tire 2. Thus, the assembling operation is facilitated.
