PURPOSE: To project magnified images of a high contrast by efficiently absorbing ambient light while efficiently and selectively reflecting projecting light.
CONSTITUTION: This screen for projectors receives the projecting light P having spectral components R, G, B of prescribed bands emitted from the projector in the presence of the ambient light W and projects the magnified images. The screen for projectors has a laminated structure consisting of a base material 1, a diffusion reflection layer 2 which is arranged thereon and selectively diffuses and reflects the spectral components R, G, B and a light absorption region 3 which absorbs at least the visible light components exclusive of prescribed bands of the ambient light W. This diffusion reflection layer 2 is constituted by densely laying microspherical bodies 4. The surfaces of the individual microspherical bodies 4 are at least partially coated with optical reflection films 5 which selectively reflect the spectral components R, G, B.
