Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent a problem caused by drain water of steam, in a scroll expander to which the steam is supplied as a fluid to be expanded.SOLUTION: A scroll expander 3 includes a steam supply pipe 15 (connection pipe 153) connected to a fixed-side base portion 51 and introducing steam to be expanded to an expansion chamber 90 configured with an orbiting scroll 30 and a fixed scroll 50, a steam seal member 80 disposed on a tip of an outer peripheral lap 55 and sealing an outer periphery of the expansion chamber 90, and a first steam exhaust pipe 181 connected to the fixed-side base portion 51 and delivering the steam exhausted from the expansion chamber 90, and a first opening portion 61 as a discharge port communicating a space inside of the steam seal member 80 and the first steam exhaust pipe 181 in the expansion chamber 90, is formed at a lower portion of the fixed-side base portion 51.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
