Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a seal housing for a mechanical seal device formed in such a form that abrasive grain included in medium carried by a pump stay in a seal cavity part, and that the grain is sent in such a direction as to get farther from the seal device for preventing it from damaging a seal surface and a wall part of the cavity part.
CONSTITUTION: A seal cavity part of a seal housing is provided with a helical cutout 11 in a mantle surface 12 for sending grain in medium in such a direction to get farther from a seal device comprising a rotary seal ring and a fixed seal ring.
